Predictive searching
“Did you mean this candidate?”
It is 2014, the keyword "Big Data" is a topic of discussion. What does this mean for recruitment? Now that everyone can be found online, it is almost unthinkable and strange that there are still recruiters with a pile of printed resumes on their desks. In the world of social media and new technology, it is high time that the search for the right candidate was a lot easier. Wouldn't it be nice if resourcers, recruiters and headhunters were helped in their selection process?
A recruitment system that thinks along with every step in the recruitment process, that is now available! It is software with predictive searching technology. Compare it with T9, the software on your phone that ensures that the correct sentence is made with a few pushes of a button. We don't know any better. Just like when Google finishes our sentences with their autocompleter. Now there is Searchsoftware, an applicant tracking software (ATS) to help recruiters find the right candidate. It is software that automatically fills vacancies with possible candidates. This system requires a few search terms and the push of a button and then comes up with a shortlist of possible candidates. Or the software shows suitable open vacancies when an applicant registers. The advent of Searchsoftware puts an end to outdated recruitment systems.
“New technology should make a consumer's life easier,” says Karim Schmidt, owner of Searchsoftware. It is therefore his mission to support the day-to-day work of recruiters. How he does that? Due to his background in computer science and years of recruitment experience, he saw the possibilities that existed to connect new technology and big data in order to be able to bring predicitive recruitment software to the market.
The development of searchsoftware is fully geared to the working method of the modern recruiter. “What you often see with standardized systems is a cut and paste work of updates. A lot of money has been invested in the foundation that was laid years ago and is being built on, ”Schmidt emphasizes. "At Searchsoftware we don't stick to patches, we even overhaul the system when it does not conform the current needs." The development of this second-generation software started in 2006. The reason was more or less out of necessity. While Schmidt's recruitment agency worked with MacBooks and the iPhone, most recruiting software providers only supported Windows computers. In addition, the current offering was considered rather dusty, old-fashioned and administrative. Thus, in 2007 the first version of their own software was launched, under the name: SRCH. In the years that followed, so many updates followed that it was inevitable to start with a complete new version. Since this month, all customers have officially switched to version 2 and the ATS will now continue under the name Searchsoftware.
Searchsoftware is highly regarded in the field of search & selection. The system is named after where the strength lies: the search for the perfect candidate. Searchsoftware, as the second generation ATS, is now gaining considerable ground in the recruitment world. Both the so-called 3.0 recruiters and the classic executive agencies have switched to this new way of finding candidates. Searchsoftware a big turnaround in recruiting software.
